    Exporting Linked SS

    Hi all,

I have some spreadsheets that are prepared by our finance department, that link to other spreadsheets to perform calculations. Once all of these are done, i need to pass copies of these spreadsheets onto other people in the organisation with these final values. The problem i have is sending these linked SS on without corrupting the data. Is there is a way to convert all the linked cells from links to their current values, so that i can send the file on without having to worry about breaking the links?

    Thanks very much in advance,

    Liam

    Hi

copy the cells and Paste Special = Values back overthemselves.

of course, this destroys the formula.

Performing this over a large number of spreadsheets

    Hi Bryan,

Is there an automated way to do this that i could apply over a number of spreadsheets? That way the admin staff wouldn't have to go in and do them all manually.

    Thanks again for your help.

    Hi,

you can record a Macro, and perform the actions, then give the macro a ShortCut key, then CTRL/Key (or CTRL/Shift/Key) would repeat the process.
