    Data filter

I have my spreadsheet on a data filter and i need to know how many items i have under each filter but i'm unable to count as it is over 1000...is there a formula or something that will count the amount of data i have filtered in.

    Thank you

Have a look at the SUBTOTAL() function in Excel Help...

    something like:

=Subtotal(3,range) or =Subtotal(103,range) should be what you're looking for.
Where there is a will there are many ways.
