    Question about protected spreadsheets

Two questions about protected excel spreadsheets.

    1) I have a protected sheet that I want other users to be able to spell check (Others who don't have the password). Help?

    2) Same protected sheet. Cells in this sheet that are refering to other sheets (ie A5 has =Other Sheet'!E117) are still able to be changed, even if the sheet and the cell is protected. Is there a way to lock these cells down also? Again, the cell is locked and the sheet is protected.

    Thanks

    1) What you could do is add a command button to unprotect, run spell check, then reprotect. Something like:

Please Login or Register to view this content.
    2) Do you mean that the formula is able to be changed, or just that it gets properly updated based on changes made to the referenced cells in the formula?

    1) Thanks, but is there any other way to run spellcheck? The file has alot of acronyms that are not recognized.

    2) I figured that one out. Some how I had imported several ranges of data into the "allow users to edit ranges" area. I have no idea how I did it, but that problem is fixed. Thanks.
