    Hi,

Despite you guys being such great help and even telling me the formula I require to resolve my problem I am still experiencing difficulty so I am trying to attach a document which I cannot do to further explain why I am having trouble implementing your formula..

    1. Five columns consisting of different dates
    2. If I add the formula you provided it each cell in each column I recieve the formula error msg.

So where does the date ? Does it go inbetween the brackets? for example:

    this is your suggested formula:

    =A1>TODAY()

is this how it would work:

    =A1>TODAY(10/06/2006)

    Please please clarify???

    Thanks in advance...

    So close now...

I wish I could upload the file to show you what it is I mean...

    Please help

    Many thanks

    Hi,

I have managed to attach the file...

So as you will see there are 5 - 6 columns.

    I would like:

    a) any dates which exceed the current date (TODAYS DATE) should be highlighted in red, everytime the spreadsheet is opened.

    Please help

Thanks for all your help and advice in advance, your efforts are most appreciated

    Many thanks

    Cheers!!

    hey,

thank you so much for your help I am sooo grateful..

Without being unappreciative and with no malice whatsoever having looked at the spreadsheet I noticed all dates which exceed the current date (TODAY) are highlighted in red...whereby the aim was to highlight any dates which had past the current date...perhaps I explained myself incorrectly, judging from your excel skills I believe the latter to be the case...

    so for example:

you have highlighted all dates which exceed/are greater than 19/1/2007 when I would have liked all dates which have past 19/1/2007 to be highlighted..

Sorry to be a pain, I was hoping you could help me once again to resolve the matter??

Furthermore, when I click on the highlighted cells from your example, I do not see how the formula was inputted...usually there is a formula in the formula bar...is there any chance you could show this? so I could understand how to implement this formula in different scenarios?

Many thanks indeed, your help is mostly appreciated..thank you so very much

    thanks in advance

    Cheers!!!
