I have a excel sheet of 2610 KB. it opens real slow it takes about 10 seconds before it opens. But i have alot of formulas in it and 1 macro. is this reason that it opens slowly?
I got another excel sheet with 10.000 kb that opens in 2-3 seconds!

If the formuls are Lookup formula, and especially from other Sheets or WorkBooks that can be a noticeable slowing, as for the '1 macro' it shouldn't slow too much unless it triggers on open and has many loops.
If the book des not take 10 seconds to close then you might look to what Links (to other files) are there.

i dont exactly know what vlookup formulas are but this are the formulas
=ALS(P19=1;L19*4,5;ALS(P19=2;L19*2,7;ALS(P19=3;L19*1,8;0)))
=SOMPRODUCT(--($L$18:$L$2517=5);--($P$18:$P$2517=1))
=SOM.ALS(L18:L2517;"5";R18:R2517)/SOM(L18:N2517)
this are only a few i got maybe about 10.000 formulas most are the same off course
I think that is the reason that is opens slowly
but it doesnt matter it contains everything I want.
I know I can solve it with macros but it is to diffucult for me.
thank you for your response Bryan
Merry Xmas to everyone!

the sumproduct formulae would slow you a little, together with the Som.Als (?)) which is also a 2500 row range formula, but you should also notice this when you press F9 (or CTRL/Alt/F9)
However, if it provides you with the answers that you need . . . .
Have a Merry Christmas

Bryan,
I think that SOM.ALS is SUMIF in the NL version of Excel.
And, maybe, VERT.ZOEKEN is the NL equivalent of VLOOKUP (US/UK).
This site shows function equivalents in 9 language versions:

thanks for that, nice link. I had the SOM from SumProduct worked out, and the ALS on line 1 looked like an 'If', but the SOM.ALS didn't look like what I expected.Originally Posted by MSP77079
