Change files types to open to "All files"
Also click on the Properties and look where it is on your pc

From your previous screen shot, if you look at the Web Toolbar, the one with the long open box with a file name in it
\\PM\text\Alex&Emma&Ang\Alex\Alex\Holidays\Doctors Holiday Re........
that gives you an idea where you are storing your file. You didn't get rid of it, it's been sat there all the time probably.
I should do a search on all your available drives for "Doctors Holiday Requests 2006.xls" and see how many you find, you may have saved one somewhere else with different data in.
