Number Formating based on Formula

Hello People,

Hope everyone is well.

How do i do the following:

I have a nested IF formula and depending on which value it shows it will id be a standard number or a currency

Formula:

When the second IF is true the cell needs to desiplay a £ plus the value.

Any help would be great

Hi,

Conditional number formatting cannot be handled by conditional formatting ...
It requires some coding in an event macro ...
Which cell or cells carry this particular formula ? ...

It depends if you need to use the result in another calculation, if not you could use something like this, maybe?

=IF(A1<10,A1,IF(A1=10,"£ "&A1,0))

My choice would probably be to use the TEXT() function;

Note however that the resultant cell will be of TEXT type rather than NUMBER type,
which could be a problem if you want to use the result in future calculations.

The format string is the same as that used in the cell custom formats (if you want to use something other than the "general" format).
