Thick Borders

I tried printing stuff out on different printers, but they all seem to come out the same...

Hi OldChippy! Thank you for helping! I tried your idea too, but it just gave me grey lines instead of black lines... so it made my problem a little more fuzzy and vague, but my problem still persists.

I just can't imagine that borders have always appeared so thick when printed... I'm starting to get paranoid that it is just me.

Okay, I tried making borders in other workbooks and in a new workbook, but they're all coming out the same... Now I must try printing some borders when I get home tonight and see what I get!

I wish I could show you... I am starting to feel a need for confirmation that the lines do look unusually thick...

Thanks for the .zip. The .bmp looked pretty strange, but it printed out looking like it did on the screen. I printed your excel file, and the lines came out the same thickness as before, but I found that your outer dotted line actually printed as a solid line, at around the thickness I would expect from using the thinnest border line. I also made a thin square border in Word and printed it, and it came out looking like the same thickness as your dotted line... now I'm more confused? What if I needed a dotted line? You mentioned something about the dpi, but I'm not sure what to do about that. It is my understanding for the printing on this printer is 1200 dpi.
