Hi
Hope some can shed some light on the problem I am experiencing. I have a external data range that retrieves data from a SQL Server table. The problem is that if I make any sort of change to the structure of the table in SQL Server (eg. adding or even changing the data type of a field) then when the data range is neext updated in Excel the order of the columns seems to completely change (the new field even if inserted in the middle of the table will appear at the end).

Does anyone know how to get round this?
I could recreate the data range but there doesn't seem to be an easy way to delete the existing one. Does anyone know how this is achieved?

Thanks

Ben
