It all depends on the contents of the cells, so if you have varying sizes of cell contents some columns will be wider than others its done like this:
add a command button or keyboard shortcut for this macro and whichever sheet your on when you run it will have th columns sized for the entries in them.![]()
Sub ColumnFit() Cells.Select Cells.EntireColumn.AutoFit Range("A1").Select End Sub

to set column widths evenly, select the required columns and adjust the width of one column, however I think that what you are realy asking is:Originally Posted by vine_figtree
In File, Page Setup, there is a Scaling option which allows you to set the Width and Length of your print, this will scale evenly across the column widths as currently specified, or down the rows.
Scaling is proportional horizontal to vertical.
Does this answer your question?

if I have 4 columns then when I print the 4 columns they only take up about 1/2 the width of an A4 page across.
I want the 4 columns to be evenly spaced across the whole page.
Is there a way of automatically getting my selected columns to be evenly spread across the whole page?

Optionally, widen the columns by selecting all 4 columns and adjusting their width to approximately twice their current size.
Hi there,
The previous poster just wanted to fill his page, so a different solution did suffice. I'd like to reduce number of needed pages for a pretty long list of personalia (spread over 10 pages, but in Landscape the 4 used columns only take up a third of the page).
This means I'm looking for a way to get Excel to continue at the top of the page for two (or: "x") times before going to the next sheet...
Is that possible? It seems to me that this should be a logical function within Excel, but (at least) I cannot find it anywhere
I know this is an old thread, but I hope anyone can help...
Thanx, Oyk.
Oyk i understand why you have attached your post to this one but please start a new thread, this one is now being closed. The reason for starting a new thread is that you are more likely to get a response, other posters will get the benefit from your individual situation and the solutions posted willl not get clouded with the original problems in this thread.

Simon
