    Labeling % symbol for a number

    Hi,

    How to label a % symbol for a number.

    Ex- I need 63 as 63% in a cell

    Well most percents are expressed out of 1 so 1=100% so the simple answer is to divide the number by 100 and format as percent, or if the values are being typed format the colum as percent and just get them to type the values as it will default to %

    If you type 63 into a cell then press the % icon, it becomes 6300%, but if you select another cell and press the % icon first, then type in 63 then it is displayed as 63%.

    So the morale of the story is, is to format first, then enter your numbers
