Protected Sheets/ Cell

Hi,
I have protected excel sheets where only certain cells can be typed in. I emailed it over to someone and they stated that they are not able to type into these unprotected cells. Is this possible? I made certain that these two cells were not protected.

I would never say something is impossible BUT there should be no reason why if you unprotected a cell, anyone else should be able to write into it.

I'm assuming;
you unprotected the cells using cell format or the lock icon and then
protected the worksheet.

Ask the person to send it back to you and see if you can write in the cells.

It's possible the file got corrupted somehow during emailing but very unlikely that it would open up still and have this specific problem.

Bear in mind that protecting or unprotecting cells
ONLY becomes operational if the worksheet is protected ...

I am able to write on the cells with no problem. I resent the file again. I am using 2003 and they are using 2000
