    Removing everything after a dash

    Hi,

I have a column where all the values are of the format 'word - word'.

    For example:

    Root
    tenu- thin
    equ- equal
    rota - wheel
    pon - place
    via- way; road
    dica- proclaim
    duc- lead

I'm trying to delete the dash and everything that comes after the dash in all the cells. If the number of cells was small, I could have taken them out manually, but I have over 2,000 items similar to these in this column! I would appreciate any advice on how to perform this mass edit.

    Thanks.

    Try Edit/Replace
    in 'Find' enter -*
    in 'Replace' don't enter anything.
