    Question on Subtotaling

I posted the below question on Friday and have had alot of views, but no answer. Does anyone have any idea? Thanks.

I have a spreadsheet that tracks credit card purchases. I am tracking this by order #. I've decided that I want to subtotal my spreadsheet by order number. For example, take order number 1234. Say I purchased 4 items in order number 1234. So in subtotaling, I come up with 3 levels. Level 2will be all of the order numbers with the price price totals. Upon clicking on the + sign on level 2, the group expands to show each individual item underneath the order. How do I continue to add to this when new orders arrive? In simple words...How do I get additional plus signs to appear without creating a completely different subtotal? Thanks!

    Hi oneilltm,

I'm sure someone can help you, but it may help if you can post a sample of what you have so far, but please do not include any personnal information i.e. credit card numbers

A more detailed post might help get a more detailed answer. As a quick first guess, would the SUMIF function work for you?

    Oldchippy,

Good suggestion. I attached a fictional example of what my purchase log looks like. Basically, as I described before, whenever I have a new order that I'd like to add to the worksheet, I'd like to add the order number to level two with another plus sign, but don’t know how to do that .
