i have built many quireis in access and been able to return the data into excel. On some occasions i come accross situations where by the results are retrned fine by the query but when i try to import them into excel using the import wizard not data appears only the column heders. ive no idea why this happens, can anyone advise why this might be?

Dumb question on my part - Are you sure your query has "information" in it.
What you might try is opening the query do a select all records and then copy. Open an Excel file - then do a Paste Special - and select Text.
