Excel Problem

I have an excel worksheet that I have been using for years and now it is not working correctly. The file has 4 worksheets that are all linked to sheet 1, which are done by linking the 4 sheets, inserting a line so that it goes into the same spot on all worksheets, then I type a name on sheet one, link the other 3 sheets and copy the formula that would bring forword the text typed on worksheet one forward to sheets 2,3,4. but all of a sudden it isn't working right, as it shows the correct formula on the lines it is pasted to but it is showing the text from the cell that I copied from instead of the the value of the formula. Can anyone help me.

Press F9

If that works go to Tools, Options, and set the Calculation to Automatic (not manual)
