turning a minus into a plus

Hi all
I have a column full of minus figures is there a quick way of turning the column of minus figures (e.g. -1234) into plus/ positive figures (e.g. 1234)
Any help would be great

put in any blank cell -1
then copy that cell
select all cells that contain negative values
right click on that selection click paste special
check multipy (see in different options) and press Ok
