I have ranked my stores in 6 different areas.
Store #1 - Area 1 ranks 4, area 2 178, area 3 223, area 4 210 area 5 239 area 6 18.
How do I figure their overall ranking? total of 254 stores

If all the stores have the same number of areas then average the ranks for their overal ranking.

ONLY APPLIES TO VBA RESPONSES WHERE APPROPRIATE
To insert code into the VBE (Visual Basic Editor)
- Copy the code.
- Open workbook to paste code into.
- Right click any worksheet tab, select View Code
- VBE (Visual Basic Editor) opens to that sheets object
- You may change to another sheets object or the This Workbook object by double clicking it in the Project window
- In the blank space below the word "General" paste the copied code.
You would probably need to be more specific, you could just do an average of the rankings, but that would probably not give you a good judgement of the real rankings.
I would assume that some areas would be more important and therefore need to be weighted as such than others. I also assume that there could be big differences in a 1 spot rank. i.e. Store #1 is ranked 4th in Area 1, but the top 3 stores are way out ahead, and everything else is closer together.
