We use a workbook for staff holiday entitlement/taken.
It's the same template for every worksheet which we copy to another 'blank'
worksheet entering [changing] to the new name afterwards. We colour code
the tabs of each worksheet also.
Recently, we made this workbook shared and other users access it. However,
we now cannot copy the template to a new sheet and we cannot colour code any
other tabs.
The message we receive is ..."This operation is not allowed in a shared
workbook"
Is there a workaround or other solution for this problem?
At the moment, we 'unshare' the workbook, carry out the changes, then
'share' it again before saving to our server..... seems long winded but
wondered if there is another way...?
any help very appreciated
