    Text Box Font Bug

    Hello

We have created a text box or an object in which text is written.
The formatting in this text box used to be fine on an older machine and
still works as it should on all other machiens. However computer, with a new
installation of Office 2003 SBE the formatting of the text in the box is
    going very wrong.

When we type in the text box and click off it the text either goes very big
or very small. So small that it is unreadable, if i was to suggest a font
    size i would say 0.1.

MS Support line said i need to post here first to confirm if it is a bug or
    not.

I have never seen this behaviour with Excel 2003.
Want to send me a sample file (my private email address, please)?

    Re: Text Box Font Bug

I have had this problem a number of times recently in Excel 2010 with various spreadsheets and with both the text box and list box control, and have done a lot of research on trying to find a solution, but unfortunately have not found one!
There are a few ideas that suggest the zoom is to blame, and with the sheet being zoomed in 100% this will not happen anyore, but I still get the same issue, control resizing, or text changing size.
This seems to be limited to Active X controls being used on a spreadsheet, and I have found that using form controls, the same problemd oes not occur, however, there is not a form control version of the text box and this does not really help.
The only way to get round it is to put the data in cells on the spreadsheet instead, and do away with text boxes, or use text boxes on a form where they seem to work just fine.
I did also read a suggestion that this has something to do with the monitor being used to display the worksheet, and this may go partway to explain why this happens on some computers but not others.
So unfortunately, there is no solution to this bug as far as I am aware!
