HOW DO I MAKE A BACKGROUND FOR AN EXCEL SPREADSHEET?

I'VE ALREADY MADE A COUPLE OF SPREADSHEETS & I WANT TO ADD A PICTURE TO THE
BACKGROUND. I'VE TRIED TO PASTE IT IN THERE AND WASH IT OUT BUT I CAN'T GET
THE TEXT ON TOP...ANY IDEAS?

Please don't use all caps. It is annoying.
You can add a background to a sheet by going to the menu bar
and selecting Format | Sheet | Background.
However, the background will not print. It is also resource intensive.
