In Excell 2003 I want to select multiple cells at various locations around
the worksheet and hyperlink them to a common file. Can this be done for all
the cells at once or must each cell be hyperlinked individually?

To my knowledge you can't select multiple cells to create hyperlinks. But, if you create a hyperlink in one of the cells, you can use the Format Painter tool to quickly 'paint' the link to the other cells.

In XL2003, you can select a range and add hyperlink.
