    Wrap text not showing text

Hello. I have a user here that on his machine only when you format a cell and
choose wrap text the text dissapears from the cell but still shows in the
formula bar. It is with every spreadsheet including if we open a blank one
and try it. I have been searching google and others have the same issue but
can't seem to find an answer. He is running office 2000 SP4 but I do not
think the version is related. He is a programmer and he messes with dll's all
the time so I have a feeling it has something to do with a shared dll. Here
are the things I have tried. Any help is appreciated.

Tried removing the Excel.xlb file from C:\Documents and
    Settings\-your name-\Application Data\Microsoft\Excel

    Detect and Repair
Made sure the text is not white
Tried changing the cell to General just to make sure there is nothing strange

I bet you have lots of text in that cell.

Try adding alt-enters (to force a new line within the cell) every 80-100
characters. Then you'll be able to see more characters.

No sir not true. I open a blank spreadsheet and put anything in it like "The
dog ran around the block three times this week" even tried 3 words "The Boy
Ran" and it disappears. It is very strange. Thank you for the suggestion and
all others still welcome. Thank you

Re: Wrap text not showing text

No sir but thank you for the response. I can open a brand new spreadsheet and
put a few words in it or a whole sentence and get the same thing. No matter
what text is in any cell as soon as you format and wrap text it dissapears.
    Very strange

Did you format the cell to wraptext?

    Format|cells|alignment tab

And did you autofit the row height?

Re: Wrap text not showing text

When we originally type text in there it is not wrap text and we can see it.
When I format cell and choose wrap text it dissapears. If I remove the
checkbox for wrap text the text re appears. Tried autofit and the same thing
    happens.
