Converting decimal time to standard time?

I am working on a formula spreadsheet and can NOT figure out how to
convert time that would include hours to standard time. For instance
if someone worked 7.25 hours it is 7 hours and 15 minutes. which would
    read 7:15. Can anyone help.

    =A1/24

    where A1 holds 7.25, format as hh:mm

    I tried the A1/24 it didn't work. See b2+c2+d2 = e2. e2 is what I am
tring to convert to the 24 hours. any other suggestions. thanks

So the sum of B2:D2 = 7.25 and that is what you want to convert in E2?

    In E2,

    =sum(B2:D2)/24

    and format hh:mm

    HTH

Re: Decimal Time To Standard Format

    Try:
    =TRUNC(A1) & ":" & (A1-TRUNC(A1))*60
