Get Rid of Task Pane Clipboard

How can I prevent the task pane from popping up when I copy something in
excel? I have tried everything. On the options menu on the task pane, I
have selected the option to disable the pane from popping up each time I
copy, but when I open excel up again and copy, there it is. Does anyone
know of a registry edit or something to disable this?

    Thanks
    John

    Done that,
It only prevents the task pane from starting up when you open up excel. It
does not prevent the clipboard from bringing up the task pane when copying.

    Thanks

    See this kb article.

"How to prevent the Office Clipboard toolbar from appearing
when you use multiple Copy commands in any Office 2000 program"
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/207438/en-us

You must replace '9.0' with '11.0' in registry path.
