Suddenly cells are wrong

I have done a concatenate() of the total and the percentage so it looks like
256 / 23%
On another sheet I put a link to this cell, by simply going = then clicking
on the cell.
The formula in the forumla bar is also in the formula cell, rather than
where its pointing. It looks like this cell is in formula auditing mode, i've
even tried turning this option on an off, but to no avail.
Any ideas?

It sounds like your cell is formatted as text. Clear the cell, change the
formatting to general, and then try again.
