Question VColumn??? In an interview, asked if i knew it...HELP (maybe it was VLookup)

    Hello,

I had an interview for an Assistant Category Manager job and one of the questions was whether I knew how to do "V Columns" (or maybe VLookup, if there is no such thing as a VColumn) where you take information from one worksheet and move it onto another sheet to comparatively analyze the two data statistically(?????). The job requires that I use access and excel to analyze raw numbers to come up with trends and such...What the heck could they have been talking about? I'm trying to find out so I can let the interviewer know that I've learned how to work with V Columns!

    Thanks!

EDIT: Could It have been VLookup that they had said?

Why not just be honest and say that you are willing to learn.

Never heard of "*V Columns*". Have you?

    I'm willing to learn!

A Google search turns up squat.

    I would agree with Biff, . . . . hmmm indeed.

The real question now, in the next interview how much will you know about V Columns?

ps, you can always learn VLookup, it is a most useful Excel function.
