    Add functionality to Excel Pivot Tables

    Has Microsoft thought about adding a REVERSE Pivot table function in Excel?
    Such a function would take a structured table (with both column and row
    headers) and create a flat file, a file where one line represents a single
    cell.

    Maybe using the technique at John Walkenbach's site would do what you want:
