many hispanic words contain a tilda (~) above a letter (like n)
    Question
I want Montano to have a ~ above the n.
How can I get the ~ to appear above the letter?

You can insert it using insert symbol in I believe Excel 2001 and later or
    you can hold down
alt while typing 0241 on the numpad, then releasing the alt key
