If I remember correctly, there should be an Essbase Add-in file attached to
Exel. Go to TOOLS in the menu, select Add-Ins and deselect the EssBase
add-in file.
I ran into similar issues while teaching a class at clients one time, and
disabling the Add-in did the trick.
