To Debra Dalgleish: Re My Previous Post Concerning Bar Chart Problem,

    Hi again Debra:

I tried what you suggested, and it works just fine.

But, I really don't understand what, exactly, I am doing when

    I do this cell deletion.

    a. Can you explain, please what I am accomplishing when I do this ?

    b. When you say "select any cell in the table," does it have to one inside
the grouping that I have filled in ?

    c. Also, I thought I would be clever and formatted one column as text.

This did not work. Why not ?

Thanks again; really appreciate your time and help/

    Bob

The simplest way to create the chart is to temporarily remove the
    heading that's in cell B1.

Then, select any cell in the table, and run the Chart Wizard, to create
a Column Chart, selecting the Clustered Column chart sub-type.

Re: To Debra Dalgleish: Re My Previous Post Concerning Bar ChartProblem,

    a. The chart wizard works best when creating some chart types if the top
left cell is blank. It seems to help it identify which columns contain
    data, and which contain labels.

    b. Not sure what you mean. In the table of chart data, select a cell
that contains data or label text.

    c. Not sure what you mean here either.

Jon Peltier has lots of charting information on his web site, including
a charting tutorial that may help you:
