Use "Paste Special" instead of "Paste". You'll then have an option to select
just "Values".

Instead of Paste, go to the menu & click Edit, Paste Special, and select
Values. Lots of other interesting options there, too, like Formats, which is
especially handy sometimes.
thank you Doug. HC

There is an Excel command button (Paste Values) that will do this for you in
one keystoke. It looks like a clipboard with "12" on it. To put it on your
toolbar, right click next to your toolbars - Customize - Commands tab - Edit
category - pull down the Commands to the Paste Values icon. Drag this icon
up and into your toolbar. Viola.
