Adding footnote to cell in Excel

Please help. How do you add a footnote number in an individual cell in a
worksheet. I work in an office that also uses Quatro-Pro and I have been
unable to duplicate the feature in Excel. Thanks for your help!

RE: Adding footnote to cell in Excel

While waiting for an answer I came up with a workaround. Here's the Rube
Goldberg solution. 1.) Add a column to the right of the cell and size it for
only one number. 2.) Type the number of the footnote you want. 3.) Make the
font of the number smaller than the font in the cell ( I used 6 when the cell
is 10. 4.) Align the cell with the number to be top justified and the click
to left justify the number in the cell. 5.) Make the number bold.

Presto! You now have your footnote reference. It would be much easier to
have that be a command in excel though!
