Advise sought on flow chart architecture

In setting up a process flow instruction in Excel, using flowchart
autoshapes to diagram the process, I want to click on any of the flow
chart autoshapes and have a sub document appear on screen (which could
in turn could have a flow chart on it). Would also want to web enable
this instruction in the future. What is the best approach for this?
Was thinking the sub documents could be in other worksheets where VB
code would activate them, show on screen, and then be closed. Looking
    for advice.

Right-click on the autoshape and set up a hyperlink to some location in the
document or to another document ?
