How can I verify that an Excel file will work with older versions

I have been asked to check that a file were are sending out will work with
older copies of Excel (at least to version 97). Unfortunately I do not have
the older copies to test with. Is there anything which I can download to
check this file out . I have saved it as Excel 97 - Excel 2003 but wanted to
verify it before posting.

Send it to one person and then call him one the phone.....

That isn't possible due to the nature of our work. It cannot be sent out to
anybody until it is locked down and tested. Unfortunately I'm the one landed
with the job of testing it, without the tools to test it!

Visit eBay and try to find a copy of oldest version of excel you need???

I bet the xl97 would be pretty cheap that way.
