Conversion of lis formated files into pc format

    Greetings:
How do we convert lis files into pcformat files that Excel & Access can
    manipulate.
We receive files that are in an lis format. The lis format is a readable
report format that is simply meant to be printed out and read. It is not in
a pcformat that in any way can be used by Excel.

Do you mean you have an extension ".lis", and is this similar to ".prn"
files (i.e. files meant for a printer) ? If so, you should be able to
change the extension to .txt then open Excel and use File | Open to
locate the .txt file. This will take you into the Data Import Wizard,
where you can try to make sense of the data.

If the .lis file is purely a text file, you might be able to import it
    directly (without changing the extension).

    Hope this helps.
