Can't retrieve saved file from CD. Says to contact administrator

I saved an Excel file to a CD. When I went to open the file it said "You do
not have access to the folder "E:\" See your administrator for access to
this file. It's my own notebook and there is no one else who uses the
    computer.

    Hi (..please use your name..),
You are almost there with your solution having written down the
exact wording of your error message. Split the question into
two phrases and check Google Groups for previous postings.

You can read more about searching newsgroups at
    http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/excel.htm

use of group:*excel* within the search dialog or use of the group section with *excel*
with the wildcard asterisks is equivalent to the last part of the url you can use to get to the search..

    Start your Groups Search at
    http://groups.google.com/advanced_gr...=group:*Excel*

Enter the following on the top line derived from your exact message.

"You do not have access to the folder" "See your administrator for access to this file"

one result of search -- don't save files directly to portable devices from Excel
