How do I keep a leading "0"? For example, I need to enter military time and I want the cell to display 0753 when I enter 753. Thanks.

So one might want to use Chip Pearson's
Times, Quick Entry (military time)
http://www.cpearson.com/excel/DateTimeEntry.htm
Or maybe not, I suppose that is the way they are actually to appear
although you could format as hhmm under custom format.
More information on working with dates and times, if you have
dates and times not just four digit numbers.
