HOW to get birthdate

Hi EXCEL expert,

Please hlep, I have date of birth excel 1 which the written as like this 6/11/1980 which is in sheet 1 and sheet 2 now i have also another excel 2 file which is I need to match the the date of birth from excel sheet 1 & 2 to excel 2 to match easy track and find match with the same date of birth how can i get through on this which in my excel I encode the function which appear the #N/A and #REF!.

1st, make sure that your "dates" are actually dates. test by referencing them with =isnumber(cell). the the answer is FALSE, then they are text that just looks like a date (value). try, in a cell next to the "date" either add 0 (zero) to it/them, or multiply it/them by 1.

if this doesnt work, i would suggest you upload a sample of your workbook for me to take a look at

To Attach a File:

1. Click on Go Advanced
2. In the frame Attach Files you will see the button Manage Attachments
3. Click the button.
4. A new window will open titled Manage Attachments - Excel Forum.
5. Click the Browse... button to locate your file for uploading.
6. This will open a new window File Upload.
7. Once you have located the file to upload click the Open button. This window will close.
8. You are now back in the Manage Attachments - Excel Forum window.
9. Click the Upload button and wait until the file has uploaded.
10. Close the window and then click Submit.
