    I had the pre-made excel

    Hi

    sheet someone send me, and I was not able to change the heigth of the colums or rows. Also some cells had "validation" but when I try to go to validation in the task bar, it is greyed out, and I can't make changes, why is this >>

    Can I change it ?

    The sheet and/or workbook is PROTECTED

    Perhaps the sheet is protected. Do Tools - Protection and look at the menu
    displayed. If "Unprotect Sheet" is in the menu, the sheet is protected.
    Unprotect the sheet. If a password is required, ask the sender for the
    password. If you can't get the password, post back for some ideas on what
