how do I name a check box

I am creating an input form on a worksheet using the forms toolbar. I have
used a number of Check Boxes. The check boxes have been given "names" in a
sequence starting with Check Box 1, Check Box 2, etc. How can I re-name them
to something meanful so that I can refer to them in Visual Basic with greater
ease. Properties does not appear to have a "naming" facility.

Select the checkbox and then type the new name in the name box (to the left of
the formula bar). Remember to hit enter when you're done renaming the checkbox.
