    Locking range in SUM

I am trying to sum 20 columns [say SUM(A1:T1)], but would like to lock the A1:T1 range when I insert more columns {this would bump the original column T value out of the equation, which is fine}. Is there a way to lock the formula, so if I add more columns, it doesn't update the formula to read SUM(A1:U1), for example? Thanks

    Re: Locking range in SUM

    =SUM(INDIRECT("A1:T1"))
