    Moving data: vertical to horizontally laid cells

    Does anyone know an automated way to get data that is listed in cells going
    down the page (vertically) into cells that go across the page (horizontally)?

    For example:

    Name Randy
    Address 10 Apple Road
    City Anytown
    State CA
    Zip 90001

    Would become:
    Name Address City State Zip
    Randy 10 Apple Road Anytown CA 90001

    I've been wondering this for years!!

    Thanks,

    Edward

    Copy--> then Edit-->Paste special-->Transpose
    You may need to paste it to a new worksheet.

    Thanks to both of you, Anne and Duke.

    Works like a charm -- even copies formulas correctly. I'm loving Excel
    today! =)

    Thanks.

    RE: Moving data: vertical to horizontally laid cells

    Have you tried to copy the data, move to an empty area of the worksheet, and
    using Edit->Paste Special->Transpose?

    Should do what you want.
