I cant make entries in my spreadsheet

I sent a spread sheet from my office computer and I can't get a cursor on the
spread sheet to make entries for my expense report.

Perhaps the sheet is protected with option set to disallow selection of cells?

Look at Tools>Protection to see if sheet is protected.

If so, you may need a password.
