how do I create a single row of vertical text?

I am trying to create an Excel document where the top row only (approx. 30
columns) has the text displayed in the vertical. The remainder of the
document will have the text presenting normally/horizontally.

Highlight the range you want displayed vertically, right click in the
highlighted area, click 'Format Cells', click the 'Alignment' tab and set
the Orientation on the right to 90 degrees or -90 degrees as you wish,
    Regards,
    Alan.
