Macro and user created button Question?

Hello all. I wanted to ask about macros and buttons. By that I mean, I'm
creating a spread sheet that I want a user to click on button I created on
the spreadsheet, and trigger the macro.

Does anyone know how this can be done?

    Thanks!

    Create your macro.

On the worksheet, drag a button from the Forms toolbar onto the sheet. You
will be asked which macro to assign it to. Choose your new macro.

    Done!

Thanks so much! Worked like a charm.

Bon - I tried that method, but the button would stay only on the
workbook I put it on (duh!). I placed a button on a toolbar from the
Customize / Macros menu. Only problem is (I want the button to open a
file I use all the tim) the button has a stupid happy face. How can I
    change the icon? TIA

    Try this:
tools|customize (just to have that dialog in front of you)

Find your smiley face icon and right click on it.
You'll see an option to change button image.
