We have a Pivot Table I put together over a year ago, which links to an MS Access database.
It is used by a number of people, and recently its been behaving a little strangely.
I actively encourage the users of pivot tables to try to 'break' pivot tables, to encourage them to edxperiment with them and to use them to their full potential.
WELL...it turns out someone may have actually managed to break one of my pivot tables.
It appears the when a field item is dropped into the page field area, it no longer allows the user to customise the items in the list (multiple items).
It allows the user to carry out the actions to configure the list: Field Settings>Hide selected Items> and these actually disappear from the list, but the page field item still states (All) and the total value does not change when the items are filtered.
I was hoping someone may have had experience with the same problem, as I am really trying to find out what the cause is rather than how to fix it (I'll rebuild).
Any thoughts or comments would be much appreciated
