Change default font in exising workbooks

My default font for new workbooks is Tahoma 8. If I copy and paste from one
existing Tahoma 8 workbook into another Tahoma 8 workbook, the font changes
to Arial 10. How do I stop this and keep the default font which is set to
    Tahoma 8?

Your default new workbook is stored as a Template named BOOK.XLT in your
    XLSTART folder?

The settings under Tools>Options>General is Tahoma 8 point?

The settings under Format>Style>Normal is Tahoma 8 point?

With this configuration you should have no problems.

Everything was as you describe, except one workbook had Arial 10 for Format
Style Normal. I didn't catch this because the tool bar shows Tahoma 8.
Changing it corrects the font. New workbooks are coming up ok, but does this
mean that I must check every existing workbook under Format Style Normal for
Tahoma 8? If so, why bother with the two other methods of choosing fonts
plus the tool bar? It would be a pain to do this in 3 places for every
    spreadsheet.
