entering the letter Y anywhere on spreadsheet and it will be filled pink???????

please help im just a beginer in excel. i have a coloum that requires a yes(Y) or no(N) answer, so what i need help with is everytime i type Y i would like that cell to turn pink for eg and blue for N . can somebody please explain how i can do this
