using the HTML option (it wont work for large files).Any ones assitance
with this would be greatly appreciated.

Why not (in Access) goto File>Get External Data... and link/import the worksheets?

    Re: Convert EXCEL to ACCESS

    Within Access:
    Table>New>Import Table
    or
    File>GetExternalData>Import

Both methods activate a wizard to walk you through the necessary steps
Default is 1 sheet = 1 table, but you may be able to append identically
structured sheets to a single table during import. If not, you can do it
    after they are imported.
